Phyllis Bee

Phyllis has taught in the field of education for 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with endorsements in gifted education and in reading in K-12. PB taught the 5-7 years-old Academic Camp this past summer and is joining Cheryl's K/1 class this year as the teacher on Mondays and Fridays. The rest of the week she will be at Satori Charter School working in special education as a reading specialist.

Jackie Cocuzza-Walker

Jackie is returning to Satori for her eighth year. She has a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies and is currently completing her teacher certification. Jackie has worked at Satori as an aide in Kindergarten, as a co-teacher in the Prekindergarten, as the Elementary school Physical Education teacher, as teacher in a multi-age class of 3's/4's, and as teacher of the full-day Prekindergarten class the last three years. This year she is teaching full-day Prekindergarten/Kindergarten.

Joanna Honea

Jo is returning to Satori for her ninth year. She worked as an aide in the four-year-old class, as a co-teacher in that class the following year, co-taught the Prekindergarten/Kindergarten class, and taught that class for two years, and has taught a Kindergarten/1st class the last three years. Jo has a degree in Rehabilitation; she is highly trained to look at the individual child. Joanna focuses on the whole child, directing attention to emotional and intellectual needs. Her classroom units are exciting and rich with culture. Jo is looking forward to teaching Kindergarten/1st grade again this school year.

Brenda Pesqueira-Werner

Brenda is returning to Satori for her eleventh year. She has worked in various positions beginning with Extended Care, in the elementary school and preschool as a teacher's aide, and as a 3's teacher for the past six years. Brenda is warm and nurturing and becomes a second mother to the children in her class. She creates a strong community within her group of 3's.

Hope Peters

Hope joined the Satori staff in August 2005 as a teacher's aide in the 3's/4's class and midway through the school year, she assumed the lead teacher's role. hope holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and worked as a writer in various capacities for The Glendale Star and Arizona Highways. She took the reins last semester in the Satori Charter School multi-media after-school club and taught the after-school preschool art class. She is returning to Satori to teach the 3's/4's class.

Clio Robbins

Clio joined the Satori staff five years ago as a teacher's aide with a 4's class and as the Elementary school French teacher. She co-taught the 3's class for two years and continued teaching French. Clio began teaching the half-day PreK class last year and is teaching the class again this year. Clio has varied cultural experiences: being born in France, growing up and studying in Turkey and then Scotland; where she attended college. After moving to the USA, she completed Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at the University of Arizona.

Jordana Saletan

Jordana has been a part of our Satori staff for six years. She worked in Extended Care for two years, as a teacher's aide in the 3's class, as a teacher's aide in the 4's class, as a co-teacher in the 3's class, and worked last year as the paraeducator for the Satori Charter School. Jordie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and will complete her Master's of Social Work in 2007. This year is teaching the 2's class.

Cheryl Sharp

Cheryl joined our staff ten years ago. She was a teacher’s aide, focusing on the math program in the Kindergarten class. For the next three years she taught our 4's class, assisted all teachers in selecting appropriate computer software for their classes, and provided creative ideas for teaching math. Cheryl is a certified K-12 teacher with a degree in Molecular Biology. This is her seventh year teaching Kindergarten/1st grade.
