Dear Satori Staff and Families:
It was wonderful seeing you at the Ice Cream Social. Thanks to Jim Murphy (Kingfisher) who made ice cream with all the classes and organized the event, to Jackie Murphy who is chairing the Innisbrook Gift Wrap sales, to Barbara Shuman who made those delicious cookies and to all of you who helped by setting up, scooping ice cream, cleaning up, etc. Children were so excited and proud of the ice cream they made. One girl saw Jim Murphy on campus today and asked if we were going to have an Ice Cream Social every Sunday!
We encourage you to participate in the gift wrap fundraiser. The Innisbrook Company gives Satori 50% of all sales. Innisbrook Wraps makes quality paper at a very reasonable price. Anything in the catalog may be purchased online throughout the calendar year. Satori gets credited for all online purchases as well, as long as you include our ID #117954. The only difference is a freight charge for an online purchase that is not charged if you order at Satori during our sale. Please turn in your orders in the office during the week of September 8th.
Several of you have
requested Entertainment Books since we sold those last year.
We have books and order forms available in the office if you wish to sell them
to others.
Specialty classes begin September 2.
The schedule is distributed in the parent files on the back of the Parent Letter.
We also begin our after school activities (extracurricular) next Tuesday.
Hot lunch begins on Monday, September 8. Order forms will be
distributed later this week.
Our first Satori Family and Staff Forum is Tuesday evening, September
9 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Central Building. Phyllis will
discuss our Language of Responsibility Curriculum. It is also
a way of developing a parent support group. Childcare is available; please sign
up.
Plan on reserving the evening of September 16 for our roller
skating party. What fun we had last year with kids, parents and staff maneuvering
around the skating rink! Arizona Skate Center is reserved for
Satori, but we encourage you to bring friends, alumni, roommates…
