Dear Satori Staff and Families:
I hope you and your family enjoyed the long Labor Day weekend.
As is Satori’s tradition of a family donating a book to our library in honor of their child’s birthday—Thank you to Dante Vuke Fernandez for donating a book in honor of his third birthday and to Molly Stack in honor of her sixth birthday.
Gift wrap sales and Entertainment book sales are underway. Gift Wrap orders must be turned into the office by Friday, September 12.
Hot lunch begins on Monday, September 8. Your order form must be turned in by this Friday, September 5.
Our first Satori Family Forum is Tuesday evening, September 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Central Building. Phyllis will discuss our Language of Responsibility Curriculum. Childcare is available; please sign up.
Arizona Skate Center, 3970 W. Ina Road, is reserved for Satori families, friends and alumni on Tuesday evening, September 16 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there. Admission is $2.25 and Skate Rental $1.50.
Satori School Picture Day is on Tuesday, September 16 for children in the Central Building and on Wednesday, September 17 for those in the Elementary Building. Lyn Sims from Lyn Sims Photography will be here both days. Lyn is a current Satori parent and a parent of a Satori alumnus. Sibling and family pictures will be on Wednesday, September 17. Please sign up in the office if you wish to schedule a sibling picture for Wednesday.
For those of you who have last minute Scholastic book orders, please get them in. We call in the order on Friday, September 5.
Please be respectful to our neighbors and do not park in front of garbage cans or mailboxes!
We still have parents who are not signing their child in and out. If you have questions about the procedure, please ask. Any of the staff are willing to help. Your next bill will reflect a full-day charge for those children who were not signed out.
Our Specialty Classes and Extracurricular Activities got underway this week. Please come by and see these classes, meet the teachers and watch your child! Paul Fisher, our theatre arts specialist, is returning to Satori this year. He will be here September 17 and 18.
Reserve your space for the Parent and Educator Workshop with Nathan Levy on Saturday morning, September 20. The Arizona Daily Star carried an article on this workshop in Tuesday’s paper so we have been receiving calls and registrations.
