Dear Satori Staff and Families:

I enjoyed getting to spend the evening with you at our first Family Forum. Thanks for participating!

Gift wrap sales and Entertainment book sales are underway. Gift Wrap orders must be turned into the office by Friday, September 12. The entire Satori staff appreciates your fundraising efforts.

Arizona Skate Center, 3970 W. Ina Road, is reserved for Satori families, friends and alumni on Tuesday evening, September 16 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there. Admission is $2.25 and skate rental is $1.50.

Satori School Picture Day is on Tuesday, September 16 for children in the Central Building and on Wednesday, September 17 for those in the Elementary Building. Lyn Sims from Lyn Sims Photography will be here both days. Lyn is a current Satori parent and a parent of a Satori alumnus. Sibling and family pictures will be on Wednesday, September 17. Please sign up in the office if you wish to schedule a sibling picture for Wednesday.

Jesse and Misty and their extended care staff at the Central Building have been doing an “All About Me” unit with the children. Please view the results in the hallway outside the office by the K/1 classrooms and library.

We still have parents who are not signing their child in and out. If you have questions about the procedure, please ask. Any of the staff are willing to help. Your next bill will reflect a full-day charge each day for those children who were not signed out.

Reserve your space for the Parent and Educator Workshop with Nathan Levy on Saturday morning, September 20. Please see the attached information for details. Come by or call to register; seating is limited and we have been receiving numerous calls from the coverage in the Arizona Daily Star.

Satori is investigating the possibility of the Elementary School building becoming a Charter School next school year for grades two through six. We’ll keep you posted.

Holly Nichols, former Satori staff, is the Operations Manager for Yes-2-Kids. She is asking for donations for new or used items for their rummage sale. All proceeds will be used to benefit the Yes-2-Kids youth sports program. She will be glad to arrange to pick up the items. Call her at 327-7082.
