October 22, 2003
Dear Satori Staff and Families:
Parent/Teacher
Conferences are such a vital part of Satori’s program. Thank
you for making the time to participate. Please schedule an appointment with
your child’s teacher if you have not done so yet.
Our annual Oktoberfest Carnival is on Friday, October 24 from 5:30 –
7:30 p.m. All classes created booths for the carnival that will be
set up, run, and taken down by parent volunteers. Cost: $10.00 for one child
and adult, $5.00 for each additional child. The entry fee covers the booths
and prizes; food is extra. Everyone had a great time last year and we’re
looking forward to yet another exciting time!
Innisbrook Gift Wrap orders arrived today.
Thank you to Matthew Stratford, Niam Knoll and Jordan Knope for donating
books to the Satori Library in honor of their birthdays.
Beginning November 3, the gate off of the North parking lot at the Central
Building will be open from 7:30 - 9:15 a.m., 12:15 – 1:15 p.m.,
and 2:15 - 3:15 p.m. At all other times, entrance will be through the office
only.
At the Elementary Building, please do not park in the drop-off zone.
Also, it is not necessary to sign your child in or out if he/she arrives between
8:30 and 8:45 a.m. and leaves between 2:45 and 3:00 p.m.
The Extended Care Hallway (in the Central building) gets better and better.
Children became very involved in the October theme, Harvest. Please read the
monthly lesson plan on the bulletin board in the multipurpose room to see the
planned activities. On Tuesday evening, November 4, from 6:00 –
7:00 p.m. in the Central Building, the entire extended care
staff will introduce themselves and discuss curriculum and procedures during
the after-school program. Please share specific requests about your child with
Misty or Tori. Note the date; this has changed from the original notice.
